Look what’s hitting the Teen Scene at Beaches Resorts
Beaches Resorts has always been acclaimed for programs dedicated to younger children and exclusive partnerships with favorites like Sesame Street and Crayola. But this summer, the Beaches properties will start undergoing a hip and trendy renovation that will surely heat things up for teens and tweens.
Feel the Music- First New York, then Los Angeles and Miami, and now at Beaches Resorts, Scratch DJ Academy is mixing it up, July 1st, at Beaches Negril. Founded by Run DMC’s Jam Master Jay, Scratch offers tweens and teens, the chance of a lifetime to go behind the velvet ropes for an experience that’s usually off limits. They will scratch, burn and spin on state-of-the-art equipment and even compete in mix competitions. [All Beaches properties, except Beaches Sandy Bay, will have their very own Scratch Academy by the end of this summer.]
Play the Game- Race a speed car, catch some air as you slam dunk a basketball or hit a home run in the all-American game of baseball! When you enter Beaches Xbox 360® Game Garage, anything is possible! Beaches is expanding and refurbishing its Xbox gaming centers to feature 42” plasma TVs, as well as the hottest and latest Xbox 360® games. [Beaches Negril’s center was completed during the beginning of the year and Beaches Turks & Caicos will be completed by the end of this summer. Beaches Boscobel’s renovations are scheduled to begin at the end of 2008] Now that’s out-of-this-world!
Dance to the Beat @ Club Liquid- Beaches Negril has already become a hit with teens thanks to the first 21 and under club – Club Liquid! Now, it’s Beaches Boscobel’s turn to feel the vibes! Tweens and teens heading to Beaches Boscobel during December 2008 will also get to experience the underwater oasis known as Club Liquid. Designed with cool blue lights, shimmer and bubble screens and wave-adorned walls, Liquid features $150,000 worth of sound equipment direct from the club scene in London. Talk about a tune you can groove to! [Beaches Turks & Caicos will have its very own Liquid by the summer of 2009.]
Sit Back & Relax Jamaican Style- Although named after the gritty inner-city section of Kingston, Jamaica, Trench Town Teen Center at Beaches Negril is anything but tattered! This wicked teen hangout spot, which is already jumping with activity, has its walls adorned with contemporary Jamaican expressions such as “Irie” and “No Problem, mon”, two large flat screen TV’s and a state-of-the-art audio system. This room will really have teens in a Jamaican state of mind in no time. Teens have a choice of playing laser hockey, foosball, electronic basketball or simply lounging on cozy chairs and bean bags.
