Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas
02/03/08 Sailing
General Overview
This was my third cruise on a Voyager Class ship and they never disappoint me. This was a Girlfriends Group Mardi Gras Cruise that sailed out of Galveston, TX. Many enjoyed 2 days pre cruise in Galveston for the festivities.

Room Overview
I had a Promenade Stateroom that proved to be ample for the two of us. There was plenty of storage and then some. The sofa window seat was great to people watch. It also served a great purpose to view the parades RCI puts on at night down the Royal Promenade.

Food Overview
Windjammer was perfect for breakfast and late afternoon snacks. Lunch could be a burger at Johnny Rockets or pizza and sandwiches from the Café Promenade. I never missed dinner in the Carmen Dining room. It is a luxury to be seated and served for dinner. I must say no disappointment there either. Portofino’s is also a great dining experience on the Voyager. Most of the time there was also Ben & Jerry’s and Seattle’s Best Coffee for your enjoyment on the Promenade. Room Service is also available 24 hours a day.
Ship Overview
Just a glimpse into the main Centrum and you can see how picturesque it is and immediately feel the ambiance. The sprawling Promenade has every provision any cruiser would ever need. From the General Store to the Logo Shop for those needing any necessity they forgot. And the Duty
Free shops flow as well down the Promenade. The Promenade plays the down city roll in a city afloat.
Activities and Entertainment Overview
The Voyager has a dazzling array of endless entertainment. They had Hot Spice, Island Music playing during the day on the Pool Deck, The Rosario Strings, easy listening, playing at night in the Aquarium Bar, the Pig & Whistle had Karaoke and then Jim Moody and his guitar playing later at night, the Schooner Bar, had Paul playing Piano Bar Fun, High Notes Lounge would have Latin Music on Deck 14 and I could go on and on with the music venues on this cruise.
The Headliner shows were in the La Scala Theatre. We saw the Magic and Grand Illusions of LARAF, a comedian and all week the Royal Caribbean Singers and Dancers were great.
I could never lavish enough praise on the Ice Odyssey show in Studio B. It is a DO NOT MISS for any cruise on a Voyager Class ship.
The Spa was well equipped for any treatment one might want. I had a Hot Stone and it was the best.
On the top decks there was the Rock Climbing Wall to Voyager Dunes, Solarium Pool, Main Pool and many whirlpools.
Summary
I could go on and on because I haven’t even hit the surface with all of the venues, activities and amusements RCI has to offer on these ships. The Voyager of the Seas and all of those in its Class are what I call “Effortless Enjoyment”. See you out there.
