We stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Lantana Florida which is located 10 minutes from West Palm Beach. It was a wonderful long weekend this past May.

The hotel:

While I found the hotel to be beautiful the shared areas seemed a bit outdated. The pool area was smaller than we're acustomed to but overall a pleasant experience. The rooms had been updated with plasma TVs and very comfortable bedding. Bathrooms were large mostly in white and
gold.

The hotel is undergoing rennovations, adding new dining experiences and
one of the top spas.

The food:

We only had breakfast and lunch at the hotel. Breakfast was very good and very expensive, $30pp for an omelet with toast and coffee. I enjoyed eating outside on the balcony and much prefered the a la carte
experience then the buffet on Sunday morning. Lunch by the pool was very good, but again expensive. I guess that goes hand in hand with staying at a
Ritz.

The service:

The service was impeccable. The staff was great, and the concierge was
very helpful in making dining arrangements on our behalf.

The Area:

West Palm Beach is fantastic. We are in our early 30's and were looking
for a weekend getaway. There were two couples. The guys golfed while we
basked in the sun. There is tons of shopping but we just wanted to
relax.
