Our son and his sweet fiancee were kind enough to invite us to their August wedding at the Regency Sandals Resort in Castries, St. Lucia.

The Regency is a couples-only resort with true tropical beauty at every turn. We began our days on our private patio taking a dip in a private plunge pool while watching boats and cruise ships come into the Castries harbor. Our days were spent at the one of the resort’s three pools, complete with swim-up bars, but I understand that the 9-hole golf course can prove to be quite challenging. Many hours could be spent exploring beautiful exotic grounds, with activities planned throughout the day that catered to most all personal tastes.

Evenings ended with the artistic abilities of local musicians in the Pavilion. Restaurants scattered throughout the resort had a scrumptious variety of choices on the menu and all were superbly prepared. The Neptune quickly became our favorite, but our challenge became trying to fit all of the restaurants into our limited schedule.

We traveled to Soufriere for a day long trip with Son of Man Tours. Jan and Elvis (a different Elvis, but still quite entertaining) showed us a great day that began with an hour long boat ride to Soufriere. We visited a live volcano, waterfall, botanical garden, local gift shop, a mud bath and ended the day snorkeling in sight of the Piton Mountains. The day was action-packed. Our guides provided a great history and showed us present day wonders of the island.

Fayette at Tripguy Travel provided crucial leadership for all of our travel decisions. While we had very limited experience traveling out of the country, Fayette expertly guided us to choices that made the difference in an enjoyable and memorable trip and one filled with doubt and indecision. Having visited St. Lucia herself, Fayette’s knowledge proved invaluable. She made herself available on my schedule, including a last minute panic on my part (thanks again, Fayette!). We will definitely seek her guidance and expertise again should we be traveling in the future.

Of course, the highlight of the week was seeing our son and beautiful new daughter-in-law married. The beach at the Regency proved to be the perfect spot for a magical wedding and reception. The staff handled everything down to the smallest detail to make the ceremony an enchanting time that will always hold an endearing place in our hearts. Weeks later the wedding still brings a heartwarming smile. The only thing we are missing are memories of the stress of a big wedding. The experience of a beach wedding on St. Lucia is something I would wish for anyone looking for something uniquely special for their special day.

Hello Sherri!
The trip to Walt Disney World & Champions Resort was great!!! The breakfast at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall @ Epcot was nice. Olivia really enjoyed it.  She was so excited about meeting the princesses. The breakfast helped her relax and enjoy all the characters. We have tons of photos and are looking forward to another trip. We visited all the parks and most of the attractions. On our next trip, I need to be a little more organized and stay closer.  Overall the trip was great!
Thank you so much for your help. I can't wait to plan another trip.

Crissy,

Thanks for the wedding gift upon our arrival! Nice touch!

Secrets Cap Cana in Punta Cana was amazing. It was only 1/4 occupied due to a lot of renovations etc, but you could not notice the construction. The honeymoon package was delivered as promised, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. They actually catered very well to Mel. They gave us a cell phone upon arrival that had a direct line to the F&B manager who accompanied us to our meals. The resort was absolutely amazing. The only issues were small, and dealt with the room (A/C was not 100% one night, immediately fixed, water was out one morning immediately fixed etc) Being that the resort is an older property, we really didn't mind the small mishaps. All in all we were really really satisfied, and would recommend this resort to anyone.

Thanks again for all your help...you are on our speed dial for our next trip.

Christine - El Dorado Maroma was really good
yes we did not get the Hotelito room I had requested  but they upgraded us AFTER a large wedding party vacated the place on day 3 - to a pretty nice place
food was pretty good - NOT GREAT always ...but very good..NEVER  a crowd anywhere  almost eerily empty sometimes
the beach was clean as a whistle - they raked the sand it 3 - 4 times / day
drinks were never an issue - all you wanted and whatever brand you wanted
service was more than impeccable - the websites are right - they literally could not do more for us at any time -
we were invited to a few non standard events like a tequila tasting a dinner around the world (sampling of several freshly prepp'd dinner and appetizers)

flight was good - they picked us up at airport - NO sign as you had suggested -  but they knew who we were - we had a large limo take us directly to the resort ...would NOT ever take a bus - always direct per those we met

we got a anniversary dinner on the beach that was great

the first half week we were there it was alot of folks our age - the next week more, MANY newly weds...

we will go back - somedayyyyy

if anyone wants to chat with us about it PLEASE have them call me

Any other Q's????
thanks for your help

Sandals Regency in St. Lucia is absolutely beautiful!!

My daughter chose to be married at the Sandals Regency in St. Lucia about a week ago.  Of course as the mother of the bride there was no way that I was going to miss her wedding so I contacted Fayette (the same travel agent that my daughter chose) to book a trip for myself and another daughter.   Fayette made me feel like I had known her all of my life; she is so easy to work with.  I explained my budget and she went to work to find a very affordable trip for me. I did not have any hassles.  In my opinion she is the best! The resort is wonderful…the people are so nice, and everything was so clean and beautiful.  People at the resort treated you like family.  Everything was just great.  The wedding planner for my daughter was excellent.  There were no problems, no worries, and no stress. The wedding, reception, and dinner afterwards were awesome.  I mean everything was perfect.  My daughters and I have talked about how perfect everything was.  I hope someday that I have the opportunity to go back to St. Lucia and stay at the Sandals Regency.
