Amenity highlights
Three free-form pools provide alternatives to the resort's 500-yard beach. A huge main pool sprawls 250 feet along the beachfront and includes a swim-up bar and a semi-circular section containing a rock formation from which waterfalls cascade. Adjacent is a 20-person spa. A second, good-size pool is terraced just above the beach halfway between the main building cluster and the bluff. A large pool with rock waterfall lies within the Sunset Bluff lodging section and includes a swim-up bar. Adjacent to this pool is a 10-person spa on the edge of the bluff looking down to the sea.

Insider tip: As part of Sandals Regency's All-Inclusive Plan, guests are also entitled to dine and use facilities at Sandals' other St. Lucia resorts, Sandals Halcyon (three miles away) and Sandals Grande St. Lucian Spa & Beach Resort (six miles). Complimentary shuttle service connects the three resorts. |
| Carved into the edge of a dramatic bluff directly over the sea, Sunset Bluff is actually a resort within a resort. The spectacular Sunset Bluff suites feature magnificent views so breathtaking they seem to flow into infinity. Some are two-story villas, many with their own private pools, while all include exclusive Butler Service. This private enclave offers every imaginable amenity, from a world-class Italian restaurant, an elegant bar and fitness center to a pool with a cascading waterfall. And 24-hour in-suite dining means that you can hide away from the rest of existence for as long as you wish, enjoying a vacation defined by its elite privilege. |

Rooms
The resort offers 327 air-conditioned guestrooms and suites in brightly colored buildings arrayed on hillsides above the beach and on Sunset Bluff overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Nearly all rooms and suites feature four-poster mahogany beds. (A few are two-posters.) Most rooms or suites include upper-floor balconies or first-floor terraces furnished with a two-chair dining set and two lounge chairs. Decor includes pastel walls, terra-cotta tile floors, mahogany furniture, and brightly colored floral bedspreads. Louvered doors and ceiling fans permit natural cooling as an alternative to air conditioning.
Suite guests receive a special Concierge Service amenity package, consisting of a concierge center to assist with dining reservations and island tours and to welcome/register guests with champagne; in-suite bars stocked with liquor, beer, wine, champagne, soft drinks, and bottled water; use of his and her bathrobes; New York Times fax edition delivered daily; and weekly concierge reception. Guests of some suites also receive 24-hour room service.

Recreation
|
At Sandals regency St. Lucia Golf Resort and Spa at La Toc, a round at the sporty 9-hole golf course is a perfect ending to a day at the sea. The course nettles in a picturesque valley surrounded by lush, villa-studded hills, its emerald, undulating terrain punctuated by bursts of crepe myrtle, bougainvillea and other flamboyant blossoms.
Measuring only 3,141 yards, this layout is short but not always sweet. Erratic breezes often make club selection a nail-biting dilemma, and several holes are as tight as tunnels, demanding laser like accuracy of the tee. On the par-3 down hill on the 8th hole, for example, a mere fade or draw could land you in a jungle of white cedars, mango and almond tress and bamboo.
The majority of recreational activities noted below are included in the room rate for this resort. Play is complimentary, but fees are charged for caddies and shoe rental (mandatory). Clubs and carts are available for a fee. Other recreational facilities and equipment are complimentary, including five tennis courts (all lighted), kayaks, windsurfers, sailboats, snorkeling gear, waterskis, and scuba diving gear and trips. Land sports include basketball, croquet, horseshoes, shuffleboard, beach volleyball, and pool. |

My husband and I were scheduled for our honeymoon this December at Sandals Whitehouse. However, we just found out that this resort closed unexpectedly until December 18th. Therefore, Sandals took it upon themselves to move our trip to Sandals Montego Bay. Although they upgraded us to a better room, I have read many bad reviews about this resort. What should I believe? I have the insurance on the trip, what are my options? HELP!!!

|
| Sandals Montego Bay is a nice resort, just very different than that of Sandals Whitehouse. The beach is smaller and the property is older and it's right next to the airport so airport noise will be heard...
That being said, the resort is lively with a good location to explore the Montego Bay area....rooms are mostly renovated and the food is the same as at Whitehouse.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask.
Also, if you haven't made final payment yet, you can still switch your reservation to work with an agency like ours, where we could put in further requests for upgrades, etc. at no additional cost.
Let me know if we can assist. Also, Sandals Whitehouse will be reopening, so if you really wanted that resort, we can assist you in delaying your trip until January.

I'm looking for a all inclusive trip in Feb 0f 2010 that would be no more than 2000 dollars for my wife and I for 5 night. I have heard there are some great deals but is this realistic price or am I way to low?

|
| There are plenty of opportunities that should be in your price range in both the Caribbean and Mexico - we'll be in touch via email with some options. |

My husband and I are wanting to take a 40th birthday trip. Friends have asked about a Big Party. We wanted to go to Jamaica but thought that may be too expensive for others. Any suggestions for a beach celebration 40th birthday party for a group of 20 people from St. Louis, MO? (Sept. 2010 dates) Thanks.

|
|
| First of all, Jamaica may not be too expensive - we might be able to find some great value properties there like the Iberostar Rose Hall or Rose Hall Suites, the Grand Palladium properties, the Bahia Principe properties, Breezes, or others. In addition to Jamaica, we can put together some great group rates to Mexico (Riviera Maya, Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, or Cabo), Dominican Republic (Punta Cana or Puerto Plata), the Bahamas, or even some of the other Caribbean Islands. We'll email you more information. |

As the largest Sandals property in St. Lucia, this is perfect for couples on both short and long visits to the island. The 9 hole golf course is a nice added feature. Overall, great beach and tons of restaurant choices. Probably our most popular Sandals St. Lucia choice due to the fact that it's usually less expensive than Sandals Grande, offers lots of room choices, and has lots of options in the concierge and butler room catagories.
