The trip to Beaches Sandy Bay in Negril, Jamaica that you reserved for us was amazing. We all decided that we wanted to go back sometime.  Everyone was very friendly and very accomodating.  They were nicer in the airport in Jamaica then in the U.S.  The hotel was great...good food, friendly and helpful staff.  Our room was rm 5306.  Not sure what block it was.  Thanks for everything.  You're the BEST!

I recommended you to a friend from Sioux Falls, and he's going to e-mail you tomorrow.  Him and some friends are going to Vegas in March and are looking for a deal.

Thanks everything,
SJ

Thanks for booking our Windstar cruise.  I am generally not a fan of cruises, and will probably only take a few on a very select basis.

Having said that, I thoroughly enjoyed the Windstar.  It was small, the people were all very friendly, and the service was terrific.  The food was very good, with too much to eat.  Most of the main dishes at dinner were excellent with the stand-outs being the osso bucco, the short ribs, the duck breast and the steak.  The fishes were ok, the tuna very good.  The sashimi appetizers one night were a highlight.  The breakfasts and lunches provided either a buffete or sit-down service with some very good dishes.  The wine list was fairly extensive and reasonably priced.

The rooms on board Windstar were 188 sq ft but were organized in such a way that it felt larger.  No problem putting away all of our stuff.  Shower was terrific.  There was a flat screen TV and the ship provided DVDs and I-Pods at no additional cost.  We did not use any of that.

Due to the size of the Windstar ship, there were not a lot of activities as there might be on large ships.  This was ok with me.  We used the spa for a massage and a facial; they were ok, not great.  Otherwise we just hung around the pool, the size of a tub, and read.

The casino was small, two blackjack tables and some slots.  Half of the slots were broken.  The dealers were delightful and the games were fun, no high stakes.

We took a number of the shore excursions.  The zip-line was the highlight.  Another trip into the Costa Rican rain forest was also very good.  The trip in Nicaragua was long, but for me, excellent.  The guide was very knowledgable.  It covered a volcano, a market and a city.  Other participants did not like this trip due to its length and the poverty we saw.  I found it educational.  The guides in all the tours were very good.

On the last day the ship docked at a wonderful beach and provided a barbecue lunch.  This was another highlight of the trip.

Let me know if there is any other specifics I can provide and thanks again for your assistance.

Hi TripGuy!

We had a great time at the Iberostar Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and, as normal, we’re not ready to be back in reality.

Things about the resort:

The Iberostar Punta Cana was a really large resort with plenty to do.

Outback Safari excursion is a must!

Beach is gorgeous

No swim up bar but staff walking to the beach/pool to take drink orders.  Also PLENTY of bars at minimal distance to order your own.

La Pagoda restaurant and the Steak house were both excellent.

Mexican Restaurant not so good.

Night Shows were generally bad and some not really appropriate for children.

Discotech was great.

Rock Star Café was good.

Multiple stores to shop at including cigars/jewelry/clothing

Resort was clean and safe (plenty of security)

No alarm clocks which really isn’t a problem on vacation!!  =)

Plug converters are sold for 4 for a dollar at the shops.  You’ll need that to plug anything in.

The blow-dryer was horrible so ladies bring your own!!!  =)

Landscaping on the resort was gorgeous.

Plenty of lounge chairs at the pool and beach so you don’t have to get up at 6am to reserve one.  =)

Safe in each room

Mini bar stocked daily

Small casino on the resort was a lot of fun.

There is an ATM….gives you Dominican Pesos

Coffee is fabulous!!

Overall great vacation.  Especially fun to go with other couples.  Would definitely go back to Punta Cana.  Thanks again for all your hard work in booking us all together.
