My husband and I are celebrating our 1st wedding anniversary at the Sandals Royal Bahamian during Memorial Day Weekend. We booked a concergie room- it it worth it to upgrade to the butler suites?

1) The upgrade to butler really depends on the difference in cost and what is important to you. The butler rooms at SRB are definitely nicer than the concierge ones, the butler service is always a nice touch, and private rolls/Mercedes transfers are always welcomed. But of course, the upgraded room costs more - so depending on your details, I could better give you a feel for the difference in costs.
2) I assume that you booked thru Sandals directly since you are asking us your questions. If you did, and still haven't made final payment yet, you can still request to switch your existing reservation to our agency (with no changes/costs) and we can work with you to both advise you on room decisions and also send a note to the manager before you arrive, ensuring they know it's both your anniversary and hopefully getting you the best possible upgrade based on availability.

| Although the Jamaican goverment just passed rules allowing for future casinos on the island, there are currently (as of 2/15/10) no announced plans to have casinos at a Sandals or Couples property. |

DON'T KNOW WHICH COUPLES RESORT TO BOOK? THIS SHOULD HELP.
Couples Swept Away - On an amazing stretch of Negril's famous beach. If you are looking for the best possible beach in Jamaica, this resort might actually sit on it. Perfectly centered, just south of Beaches Negril, this resort is all about the beach. Rooms are generally nice, but we highly recommend booking their verandah suites (and up). The entry level rooms don't have TV and are rather simple. Amazing fitness facility across the street with juice bar, lap pool, racquetball/squash courts, yoga, and more.
Couples Negril - Also on Negril's famous beach. We find this resort to be the understated of the 2 in Negril. Just as nice, perhaps a little more laid back and private. 18 acres large with 5 unique restaurants, this is for the couple looking to relax and unwind and be pampered.
Couples Tower Isle - This resort, on the Ocho Rios coast, was just completely renovated in 2008, re-opening in 2009. Over $30 million was spent to bring this old-fashioned property into the 21st century. Larger beach that some of the other AIs offer in the Ocho Rios area, still close to Dunn's River Falls and all of the other amazing activities that the area has to offer. Due to the renovation, even the least expensive rooms are nice.
Couples Sans Souci - 35 acres of beautiful beachfront property also in Ocho Rios, CSS has 4 restaurants in addition to room service. Only 150 rooms, so this resort oozes personal service. Many of the staff will no your name by the 2nd day of your trip. If you are looking to relax and unwind in a more traditional Jamaican setting, this is the right resort for you.
You can't go wrong with any of the 4 Couples Resorts. All have great food, amazing service, and nice rooms. Use our experience to pick the one that best suites your personality and vacation wishes.
