EL DORADO MAROMA - On the best beach in Riviera Maya and one of the Top 10 ranked beaches in the world, this very small (under 100 rooms) boutique property has the utmost in service and food. Everything there is made to order so even picky eaters are treated like kings. Beach is amazing. Pools are nice. All rooms are great...most with indoor and outdoor beds. The swim-out rooms are our favorite....great location and easy in/out access to the pool all day. Perfect for a honeymooner looking for relaxation after the wedding, an executive looking to get away from work, or someone celebrating a special anniversary. Very limited nightly entertainment on property.
EL DORADO ROYALE - This is the largest of the 3 El Dorado properties...with a huge regular suite area and then the CASITA SUITE area. I believe the Casita suites may be the best rooms in Riviera Maya....overlooking the pool, with your own little personal pool...indoor/outdoor shower, aromatherapy, tons of glass for a very natural feel. This resort in general is great for people ok with a pool vacation (beach is fine, but ocean isn't great for swimming), amazing food, lots of entertainment, and top notch service. Due to its larger size, great for adult groups, weddings, and people looking to meet others.
EL DORADO SEASIDE - This is the resort we book the most destination weddings at each year. Perfect size for a wedding...not too big that guests will be scattered, not too small that there is nothing to do. All rooms are just about the same, but the swim-out rooms offer a great way to relax off of your porch. Food is top notch, service is great...and tons of beach beds for this mostly beach oriented property. Great for people looking to explore the Southern area of Riviera Maya including Xel-ha, Tulum, etc.
AZUL BEACH - Azul Beach is yet another great resort for a destination wedding...but also a great resort for a family getaway...that even especially caters to families with infants. Under 100 rooms, the food and service blow me away. I love the relaxed no frills attitude on property. Rooms are on the small size (tough for a family of 4)...but they include use of a stroller, baby food, monitors, etc, for those bringing infants. Beach is wonderful. Small pool also to enjoy.
AZUL SENSATORI - The ying to Azul Beach's yang. Amazing, contemporary rooms for this very contemporary resort. Lots of interconnecting pools. Adults block and Family block so you can have the best of both worlds. As always, food and service are top notch. Beach here is on the smaller size and not recommended for beach lovers....more a pool paradise.
AZUL FIVES - Finally opened in November 2010. Beautiful rooms, including 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom, and even 3 bedroom suites. Some of the 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom suites even have roof access - which is truly cool. Same great food as other Azul properties. Smaller beach. Also offers EP program for those not looking for all-inclusive. Resort is located just north of Playa del Carmen.....a long walk into town.
You can't go wrong with any of the above Resorts. All have great food, amazing service, and nice rooms. Use our experience to pick the one that best suites your personality and vacation wishes. Read our past client reviews - almost 100% satisfaction with these great Karisma Resorts.
