We spent six days at the Grand Floridian in February, taking advantage of a package deal that our fabulous travel agent, Elisa Levay ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) recommended to us. Our family group consisted of a three year old, her Mom and Dad, and two grandparents. The hotel was a perfect fit, since it was packed with amenities for everyone, and located so close to the Magic Kingdom, with multiple ways of traveling to and from. Elisa booked us into two adjoining rooms on the concierge level, located on the first floor in the building next door to the main building. It was ideal, since there was always food available at no charge, since it was included in the package. We particularly appreciated the quick breakfasts this provided, and the light dinner foods available from 5-7pm when our little one was always hungry. The fact that it was on the ground level made it easy and accessible for all. The rooms were lovely: ample in size and spotlessly clean. Were they five star? Probably not, but close enough for our purposes. What was definitely five star was the service throughout the hotel. Everyone seemed invested in helping you and making your stay a happy one. Again, I have to say that the concierge service was a good fit for us, since the concierge helped us right at the hotel with getting fast passes so our three year old wouldn't have to wait on lines. We loved the music in the lobby of the main building: our granddaughter happily danced to it every day. The pools were awesome, the shops lovely, and the restaurants on site were all very good. Taking a short boat ride to/from the Magic Kingdom from the Grand Floridian was an enjoyable way of traveling, and made it less burdensome for our little granddaughter, particularly since the monorail wasn't in operation between 11am and 7pm every day of our stay! Be sure to check that out before you book your trip. We didn't realize how complex it was to plan a Disney vacation, given the overwhelming number of options, and the need for advance reservations. New packages for photos, fast passes, and electronic bracelets didn't exist when we were last there many years ago. The Grand Floridian is a great option if you want to splurge on a Disney vacation or if you don't have a lot of time to spend and want to be close to the Magic Kingdom. We highly recommend our travel agent, Elisa Levay, who spent countless hours helping us choose age appropriate activities. She even made up a spreadsheet, showing our daily activities, and how to get from one park to another. Make sure you book everything many months ahead!

Fayette from tripguy did it again! This is the second time she helped my family in planning our trip to the Beaches resort in Turks & Caicos. Fayette was very patient and helpful in finding us the best week, given our budget. She took care of our hotel, flight, airport transfers and even dinner reservation at the high demand restaurant (Kimono). We picked the first week of March this time and the weather turned our to be perfect except for the second day when it was rainy and cloudy the whole day. We enjoyed the location of French village since it is close to the water park, French pool and the stage. My kids (5 and 2) love the day bed and trundle in our room. the bathroom definitely should have been part of their 2013 renovation since it is still so dated and the water pressure of the sink is so bad. If you need luxury then the Italian village is the way to go. Keep in mind the price will go much higher as well. We stayed at the Carribean village last time (3 years ago) and it is more busy, but closer to the beach. I do notice that they updated some of their restaurants since our last visit. Food was great except we had the worst cook (Nigel) at Kimono hibachi. He just wasn't putting much effort in entertaining his guests unlike the other chefs in our adjacent tables. Since we had 6 kids (with 2 other familes) altogether each day, they played with each other and had a great time no matter what, so we didn't bothered using the kids club at all. It was absolutely a great week to go since it wasn't crowded at all so we were able to get dinner seating quite promptly. We did snorkeling and the daddies took the kiddies for kayaking. We also all did the photo shoot sessions and took some amazing pictures to bring home. My 2 yrs old son is a fan of Elmo so he had a great time at the character breakfast, beach party, cookie baking (with cookie monster), Characters parade and Elmo rock-n-roll party. Thanks for coordinating this wonderful trip for us once again.

The Fiesta Americana Condesa was absolutely wonderful. I went on this trip, booked through Nikki Sterling, with my fiance for a nice 7 day get-a-way from this horrible New Jersey winter. First, I need to comment on Nikki Sterling's customer service. Anyone looking to book a vacation should highly consider calling Nikki Sterling. Nikki was referred to me by a colleague. Nikki took time to get to know my fiance and me to really understand our vacation needs and, of course, our budget. The Fiesta Americana Condesa has everything you could possibly need all within the resort. 7 days here, we never felt the need to leave the resort for any reason. The staff is over-the-top friendly and accommodating. The best part about the staff is their passion for their careers at Fiesta Americana. The bartenders (Rudolfo was our favorite at the Lobby Tapas bar), the wait staff and MOST OF ALL the entertainers by the pool were all AMAZING. Rubin, Danny and Diego (just to name a few) have such contagious smiles and personalities, you CAN'T POSSIBLY have a bad time at the pool. The pool had games on one side for all ages to enjoy, but then again, you could also just relax in the 4-foot pool or on your lounge chair and soak in the sun. The swim-up bar was our favorite bar in the whole resort, but the beach bar overlooking the turquoise water was equally as enjoyable. My only (for lack of a better word) complaint with the pool would be that if you wanted a lounge chair WITH an umbrella, you needed to claim your spot by 6am or else there would be none left. I guess I'll mention that if you run out of sunblock, you'll be paying $26 US Dollars for a new bottle at the pool.....so stock up before you leave. Yikes. Other than that, it was perfect. The restaurants were all delicious. Being from Jersey, I know great Italian food so I was a little apprehensive before trying an Italian restaurant in Mexico.....Fiesta Americana's Rosato restaurant featured delicious Italian dishes. Their carbonara sauce was EXCELLENT with grilled shrimp and pasta. The buffets were great. All of the food was fresh from their breakfast buffet, to their daily 12pm BBQ buffet at the pool, to their dinner buffets (offered in 2 locations/inside or outside). El Mexicano featured true authentic Mexican cuisine. My fiance and I were more than impressed. And I would be crazy to not mention their MARGARITAS. Yum!!!!!! The rooms were clean (but we weren't fans of the gigantic pillows to sleep on). We loved that our maid service came in our room twice daily to check our towels and restock our fridge. Room service was fast. The views are breathtaking, especially watching the sunrise (we had an ocean view king). Another awesome feature of the resort was their on-sight photographer. He took beautiful professional photos. We ended up buying quite a few pictures on a CD at the end of our trip. My only gripe with this was the price. Pictures ranged from $13-18 each. We ended up negotiating a slightly better deal since we bought 25 photos, but overall, that was definitely over priced. Other than that, clearly, I give this resort a 5/5. My fiance and I will be back and booking again through Nikki.

Club Med Sand Piper in Port St. Lucie Florida

Positives - Excellent for families of all ages. Lots of wonderful fun activities, excellent staff who are enthusiastic and very friendly. Food was terrific. The choices are many and varied. Request were always met. Spa service (massage) was terrific. Shows were great and they even had the kids perform a show which was adorable. Negatives The housekeeping needs a complete overhaul. With so much attention to fun for the guests it sort of took a back seat. The rooms were clean but there were things in the room that needed repair and it took a lot of time to get them done. As an example the toilet seat ant toilet paper holder were broken. We reported it on day one and they didn't get to it until day three. In closing let me say the entertainment side of the resort is excellent and very well run but the utilitarian side needs attention. Carol & Jolaine suggested this property with the understanding we were not going to a five star resort, but had all the bells and whistles we were looking for. We took children and grandchildren (ages 3 - 16) for a family holiday and all of us had a great time. If you are looking for an all inclusive resort in the US this fits the bill
