"Gala Resort - Cancun We had an awesome trip. The resort was very nice and our connecting :) rooms were beautiful. Weather perfect. The haciendas have a private little pool on the patio which was nice. We could order room service and have a drink while the kids played in their private pool! Also sailing and SCUBA were great. Service was about the same as our other 4 or 5 apple stays, food average. Resort was crowded but no shortage of facilities. Beach was very clean and very nice. Kids club reasonably good. Hotel/restrooms/ rooms etc were very clean! Thanks again for everything" Michael S.

"Hi TripGuy , Sorry it took me a while to reply. Well, I wanted to thank you so much for getting us such a great deal! Cancun is just gorgeus! We also loved the Hotel... it couldn't have been anymore perfect! Grant it, we did get sick of the food towards the end, but were hooked up with the tours through Apple Vacations. We did the Snorkeling Adventure, Chichenitza and horse-back riding by the beach on a ranch! We loved every moment of it... Many friends have been asking me how I got the deal, I'll spread the word around. I hope I can plan my next trip to you as well, I appreciate your help. It was good doing business with you..." "Dear TripGuy - My wife and I had the best time possible on our trip to Ixtapa. The Melia Hotel is beautiful. The staff very friendly and the service excellent. I gave them a perfect review. After the second day they closed the brand new tower that we were staying in and moved us to junior suite. How cool is that! The 2 restaurants are as good as it gets for any hotel in Mexico. The breakfast buffet is good, the lunch buffet could be better. The dinner buffet changes each nite and is pretty good as well. Drink/waiter service at the pool is second to none. The hotel is a 10 minute taxi ride to downtown Ixtapa. This was no problem for us. We swam with Dolhins at Dolphinium (downtown Ixtapa) $75.00. Went deep sea fishing. Hung out at two different beaches under the Palapas. We would recommend this trip to anyone. You have earned all my future business." Thanks Stuart

"Hi TripGuy, Yes, we are back and had a great time at the Catalonia in Riveria Maya. We will most likely going back. We were very pleased with the hotel, after they changed our room after the first two nights. Puerto Aventuras is about a 15 min drive south of Playa del Carmen. We rented a car so we had no trouble getting around. The sea view room we had for the last 4 nights was great with a balcony overlooking the ocean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was OK. We finally made it to the specialty restaurant on the last night. We should have booked as soon as we got there for all 3 a la carte restaurants. The Italian one was very good. The beach is maybe not as sandy as some in some areas but we did not find it a problem. I would use the hotel again." Thanks again for all of your help, D.H.
